Thinking about those who don’t have clean water.

In year 3 at Sacred Heart we are thinking about CAFOD’S work in helping people who do not have access to safe, clean drinking water. We thought it was so important we planned an assembly on it so we could spread the message to everyone in our school.

In our lessons we watched video clips about CAFOD’S work in Peru and wrote about some of the people who, thanks to CAFOD have safe, clean drinking water. During our assembly we showed the other teachers and children in the school the video clips. We all talked about the important work and sang a song called ‘The Water Song’

In a few weeks time we will be thinking about Lent. This year CAFOD has asked us to use less water instead of leaving the tap on all the time and wasting it. We will be supporting CAFOD so they will be able to continue helping people around the world who don’t have clean water to drink.
