Lent is always a busy time for the CAFOD community, so here’s some updates about what’s happened and what’s happening in the diocese.
First thanks to the parish of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Huddersfield who are holding CAFOD Hunger lunches every Wednesday during Lent at St Joseph’s Church in Huddersfield. At the first lunch on the 20th February a brilliant £141 was raised. If you’re in the Huddersfield area head over and help them raise even more!
Our main diocesan event this Lent is fast approaching. On Saturday the 16th March we will be hosting Fidel and Julia from El Salvador at St Benedict’s Parish, Garforth. Fidel and Julia are CAFOD partners and will be updating us on the problems being faced and the work being done to help those who are hungry for change. There will be a shared feast, updates on both the Hungry for change and IF campaigns and finishing with mass where Fidel and Julia will be speaking. The day starts at 1pm, to book email email@example.com or call 0113 275 9302. We hope to see you there!
Keep up to date with all that’s happening by joining CAFOD Leeds new Facebook page or follow us on twitter @CAFODLeeds, and let us know all you’re doing this Lent.
