CAFOD sponsors ‘Tour de Fred’: Great Grandad to cycle 1,100 miles to fight world hunger

GreaImaget-grandfather Fred Uttley is cycling more than 1,100 miles round the country to raise funds for farmers in Bangladesh and to ask others to support Hungry for Change’, CAFOD’s campaign against world hunger.

Fred, from Padiham in Lancashire, will cycle to all 22 Catholic dioceses in England & Wales in just under three weeks on a challenge that has been dubbed the ‘Tour de Fred’. The ‘Tour de Fred’ begins at 10.30 on June 9 when Fred and his support team depart from Salford Cathedral.

 

Fred will be arriving in Leeds on Sunday 9th June. If you can ride with Fred for even a tiny bit of his route or of you can come along and greet Fred when he arrives at St. Anne’s Cathedral, around 5pm on Sunday 9th June ring Margaret or Joanne, 0113 275 9302
