Learning about hunger

Big IF snapThoughtful youngsters at a school in Pontefract have been using art to learn about hunger problems across the world.

Years three, four, five and six pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School have been looking at the subject as part of a national campaign to help feed the hungry.

The IF Enough Food for Everyone campaign, run by Catholic aid agency Cafod, is calling on world leaders to solve the problem.

Andrew Jones, year three teacher at the school, said: “All the children have written down their thoughts about world hunger and what they want to see happen.”

“All the children understand the problem and the fact that it could be solved.”
