In March, more than 100 school children from eight schools in East and West Yorkshire walked with water to mark World Water Day.
The children carried buckets of water for two miles from Leeds to Kirkstall Abbey to show solidarity with people in poorer communities in Africa who often have to walk for miles to access safe drinking water.
Dan, a student at St. Wilfred’s said:
“The Walk is very inspirational. It’s shocking that some people have to do this walk to get water every day or die. I’m going to stop taking water for granted.”
