We are delighted to invite all current and interested schools and parish volunteers in the Leeds Diocese to our Volunteer Coffee Morning on Wednesday 13th April at 10:30am here at the CAFOD Volunteer Centre, Hinsley Hall, Leeds LS6 2BX.
Volunteers have always been an integral part of CAFOD’s work, partnering with us in our mission of overcoming global poverty and injustice. We want to develop our volunteering to strengthen partnership in CAFOD, and to empower the Catholic community to work alongside us in our volunteer centre and out in our Catholic communities, to have greater input and participation in CAFOD’s work. We have changed the name to CAFOD Volunteer Centre as we are ‘opening wide’ our doors to welcome those who want to play a role in supporting the Catholic community to express their faith, working together, towards a world transformed to reflect the Kingdom of God.
At this informal coffee morning, you will meet with volunteers who have recently started as well as those who have been supporting the work of CAFOD in schools and parishes for many years.
This coffee morning will be a good opportunity to meet with Joanne Taylor chat to our Regional Communications Coordinator Katie Binns and also meet the newly appointed Community Participation Coordinator, Bronagh Daly.We will be sharing good practice from recent visits into schools and parishes over Lent and also hearing about ideas volunteers have for future projects.
This is a free event, there is no need to book however it would be great to let us know by email if you will be coming so we know how many buns and cakes to bake! email@example.com or call the office (0113) 275 9302.
