Coffee, cakes and volunteering

Volunteer Coffee Morning 13th April 2016 with CAFOD logo

Volunteer Coffee Morning; a wonderful opportunity for parish and schools volunteers to network

Thank you to all the volunteers who attended the first of many Volunteer Coffee Mornings across the diocese on Wednesday 13th April 2016.

The event was hosted by Bronagh Daly and Joanne Taylor, the Community Participation Coordinators at the CAFOD Volunteer Centre in Leeds.

Among those who attended were new volunteers and those who are interested in learning more about the various volunteering opportunities currently available in schools, parishes and here at the Volunteer Centre. We were also delighted that so many of our long standing volunteers came along to share their experience and ideas.

Joanne Taylor, CPC for the Leeds Diocese was delighted with the turnout and the positive, energetic atmosphere at the Volunteer coffee morning, “It is lovely to have seen our meeting room filled with people willing to share their experience and knowledge about volunteering for CAFOD with those who are new and interested in a volunteering role”

All those who attended were able to meet our new CPC, Bronagh Daly who started in post in February 2016 and hear about the support available here at the Volunteer Centre to support them in their work with schools and parishes.

If you would like to get involved with CAFOD as a volunteer please email us leeds@cafod.org.uk or call (0113) 275 9302
