Sun 10th June, 11am Bingley ‘Refugee Walk’ to Saltaire

Parishioners from Our Lady and St Joseph, Aire Valley will be putting their faith into action as they walk in solidarity with refugees journeying towards safer places. share the journey logo

Parish volunteers Paddy and Maria, will be accompanying TWIG (Third World Interest Group) on a walk as part of the ‘Share the Journey’ campaign to raise awareness of the needs of refugees.

Meeting point: Bingley Fire Station, Main St, Bingley
Starting time: 11am
Route: Starting from Bingley Fire Station, then via 3 Rise Locks and along the canal bank to Roberts Park, Saltaire. Picnic together around the bandstand at about 1pm.
Walk length: The walk is 4.5 miles

Everyone is welcome to join along the route, ‘Share the Journey’ action cards will be made available to walkers, with a petition you can sign to ask Government leaders to take action to support refugees.
