Are you a parent with some free days during the week in school term time? Perhaps you have delivered Children’s Liturgy sessions and would like to support young people learn more about CAFOD in a school setting? We would love to hear from you and support you on an amazing journey into volunteering to raise awareness and support for our work as the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development.
Could you spare a few days a month to visit your local Catholic primary or secondary schools to share with young people updates on justice, international development and faith in action to support people living in the poorest communities.
As a CAFOD School Volunteer for the Leeds Deanery, this role will take you into Catholic primary and secondary schools to deliver 15 min assemblies and 45 min workshops using pre-prepared CAFOD education resources and power-point presentations.
The School Volunteer Training Day 1 is on 15th October 2019, at St Urban’s Church Hall in Leeds.

After Day 1, you will make a supervised visit to a local primary school and then, if successful, you will proceed to Day 2 training. DBS checks, references and an interview are required to fulfill the volunteer position.
