7th Sept 2019: Let’s get ready for Harvest Family Fast Day

Familly Fast Day Harvest 2019On Saturday 7th September at 6pm in Sacred Heart church in Bingley (straight after mass) CAFOD Parish Volunteers from across the Diocese will be invited to take part in a Family Fast Day briefing delivered by our recent ‘Step into the Gap’ Volunteer Madeline Woods.

What: Harvest Family Fast Day Briefing for CAFOD Volunteers
Where: Sacred heart in Bingley, Nethermoor View, Bingley, BD16 4HG.
When: Saturday 7th September (Mass 5pm) Briefing 6pm
Who: All CAFOD Volunteers and Madeline Woods, ex CAFOD Gapper (Uganda)
Why: To help all CAFOD volunteers, children’s liturgists, families and parishioners prepare for Family Fast Day full of prayer, action and fundraising to stand in solidarity with the people living in the world’s poorest communities.

Madeline visited Uganda as part of her year of volunteering with CAFOD, and this year our Harvest Fast Day is focused on a young man called Fabiano who is thankful to CAFOD supported from across the UK who have helped to build a solar powered water pump in his local area.
