10th Nov 2019: Leeds CAFOD Book of Remembrance Blessing

All CAFOD supporters and families are invited to attend a special blessing of the CAFOD Remembraance book, at a local Remembrance Service in Leeds.

Leeds CAFOD Book of Remembrance Blessing

When: Sunday 10 November, 9am

Where: Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 52 Otley Old Road, Leeds, LS16 6HW

During November, the month of remembrance, we take time to pray for those who have died and give thanks for loved ones who have made a deep and lasting impression on our lives.

MEMORIAL MASS YOUNG CHILDREN CANDLESDuring this special time, we hold Memorial Masses across England and Wales in honour of supporters and loved ones who have died.

At each Mass, we present a Book of Remembrance which includes names of supporters who have sadly passed away during the year.

These Masses create a special time to come together and to reflect on the lasting impact our loved ones have had on the world.

A time to come together

It is a time to come together and to reflect on the lasting impact our loved ones have had on the world.

We pray they find peace and that we can continue their legacy of love in their memory.

Fri 20th Sept: CAFOD Harvest Briefing (CAFOD Volunteer Centre, Hinsley Hall)

A warm invitation to all CAFOD Parish Volunteers to hear about our current Harvest Family Fast Day Appeal.

Familly Fast Day Harvest 2019At this event you will meet with fellow CAFOD Parish Volunteers who promote CAFOD within their local Catholic communities through prayer, campaigning and fundraising to support families living in the world’s poorest communities.

We will start the briefing with a prayer reflection, provided by CAFOD theology team and have a look at the case study from Uganda, featuring Fabiano who is thankful for the support from CAFOD to bring a safe water supply within reach of his community.

Projects similar to these are making a real change to the lives of families all across Uganda, and we will explore in the briefing how we can be more careful with our consumption of water, talk about the impact of not having access to a safe source of water and reflect on how our actions have a direct impact on our global brothers and sisters like Fabiano.
