Assembly Song Begins!

One of our lent events begins today and we’d love you to be involved!

CAFOD Leeds has launched #AssemblySong and we’ll be Digging Deep into our music collection to suggest a song each week that we’d like you to sing with us!

We’re inviting all of the schools in the diocese to be part of CAFOD’s Lent campaign, Dig Deep, by singing the same song as all of the other schools during their assembly. All we’d like you to do is sing our weekly #AssemblySong during your assembly!

Just follow us on Twitter (@CAFODLeeds) and Like us on Facebook (CAFOD Leeds) for your weekly #AssemblySong!

We’ll also share a link to one of our Dig Deep pages where you can find resources for use during classes or assembly. For a sneak preview, you can visit and meet Samai from Sierra Leone.

In case you missed it, today’s tweet invites you to sing Sing Hossana and to visit to find out more about our Dig Deep Lent Campaign.

It would be fantastic if you could take a picture or video of your school singing and send it to us in the office or share it with us online!

Please follow us on Twitter ready for next week’s song!

Thank you for being involved and for taking the time to sing and reflect with us this lent, if you have any queries about #AssemblySong, please do get in touch.
